Villa Patrizia's 2015 Albatraia is bold, ample and creamy, with a level of pure flamboyance and darkness that is not especially typical of Ciliegiolo. Even so, all the elements are very nicely balanced. The dark cherry and plum fruit speaks with an intriguing combination of power and voluptuousness. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, April 2018)

100% ciliegiolo grape in Tuscany. Aroma of strawberry, raspberry, olive, mint, vanilla and a touch of leather. Smooth and fresh on the tongue. Taste is also strawberry and raspberry but with underlying darker, subtle structure. Good as an aperitif and to carry all the way through Italian dinners.
