When I lived in a French village perched over the Mediterranean, it was a beautiful 30-minute drive to the Italian border, and a bit more to phenomenal 5€ pizzas on the beach. I love Tuscany (and the sophisticatedly fun Tuscan accent! Hoha Hola = Coca-Cola :D), but for me, this Tuscan Chianti is a friendly reminder of pizzas on Italy's Ligurian coast. For a lighter wine like Chianti, it unwinds into a delectably full glass of cherries, orange zest, drop of honey, and a smooth & sultry hint of spice. Grande!
