Viña Vik’s La Piu Belle is a blend from the Colchagua Valley of Chile, comprising 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Carménère, and 8% Syrah.

VIK’s property, which includes a winery, vineyard, and hotel retreat (that we must visit), is situated overlooking the Humedal de Millahue, surrounded by the natural beauty and wildlife of the Millahue Valley.
The name of this wine “La Piu Belle” (the most beautiful) refers to the goddess of the Millahue Valley; she’s the goddess of love, fertility, beauty and art; she embodies all that makes this wine and place so special.

And this wine is stunning. It has a deep ruby, jewel-tone. The nose opens with ripe, sweet black fruit notes such as candied blackberry, black cherry, blueberry, and cassis preserves, also licorice, violet, green bell pepper, delicate mint and eucalyptus, and nutmeg, vanilla, cedar, clove, star anise.

This wine is rich, intense, and complex. It has a full body and mouthfeel with high alcohol sitting at 14.3% ABV; also smooth, fine-grained tannins that are well-integrated, having spent 24 months in new French oak before release. The finish lingers on the palate.

A delicious way to welcome the New Year! Cheers and Happy New Year to our Delectable community!!
