It starts with blackberry and spices and garrigue, almost like a côtes du Rhône syrah. Then there are some strawberry notes, and even almond and licorice. That's a very nice nose, but, as it turns out, a little over promising. The palate is well crafted with a beautiful acid backbone and some width. Some nice blackberry and black pepper notes all along with some matter on the sides. A good grip and a rather abrupt fruity finish. This is good and well made but it lacks complexity and soul. I like that there is a bit of freshness all along which to me is what I love about Roussillon wines.
