Nose has some oak attributes, but they don't show in the flavor much. Flavors are a but sweet and berry flavors are mellowed. The wine is smooth, but not from proper blending, more because the flavors are muted. The finish does have a small pepper spice, but it does not linger, the tannin actually dulls the flavor. I know this sounds like I'm bashing the wine, but I'm not... Well, a little. The cab is too predominant and the tannin a it elevated. The wine is nice a simple approachable wine for tannin lovers not expecting too much. There are just too many other better Zins in this price range to settle here.
