Appellation Saint-Emilion Gran Cru Contrôlée 2006, 13%. Bottle tasted in September 2014. At first a was a bit worried because the cork was very wet and not in very good conditions, but I poured half a glass and I left the bottle to breathe for a couple of hours. The wine was then quite beautiful, with a oaky nose slightly smoky, ripe dark red fruits, plum marmalade and nuts too. Very smooth and pleasant in the mouth, was paired with aged french cheese.
