One of the most unexpectedly moving bottles of my life. Was prepared for concentration, liquor-like extraction, Parkerized glycerol & nonsense—“great” wine in quotation marks. Instead? I got a ballet dancer. Smoky, haunting, perfumed, & one of the more wonder-inducing bottles of Bordueax I've ever tasted.

1982 vintage. Mid-shoulder fill, fully saturated cork. Not decanted. Tasted after 3 hours open. Light body. Earthy nose. Smooth, lean, integrated flavors gliding along to that 35 second finish. Should be able to hold court in this status for another 5-6 years. 7.6.24.

Youthful 82 love the vinegar and I love pomerol. Makes a great combination for me to appreciate this wine. Lots of acid and fruit. Amazing color for a 34 year old
