Medium gold, explosive aromas of ripe pineapple , lychee, kumquat and green melon. The wine is rich, nearly viscus, and packing serious weight. Long, sweet but balanced, mid-palate. Close to over-the-top in richness, but the flavors carry the day. A long way from Sancerre, but a style and food-friendliness that I have to acknowledge. At times I wasn’t sure, but finished the bottle….. and smiled!

Very good. My champion of white wines this year. Very strong straw, gooseberry and citrus. But the straw, wet straw maybe, distinguishes this wine.
