Aug 31st, 2014The nose is promising with pear, honey, white flowers, some citrusy touches too and a creamy thing on top of it. The palate is acid driven, shows some peary and citrusy notes, but it lacks a bit of zing and I'd like it to be a bit more vivid and dynamic. The finish is long, fresh, as expected, and tangy with citrusy notes. The best albarinos/alvarinhos I have tasted always had a bit of iodine/see breeze touch along with some creamyness because of the lees. This one is fresh and fun but lacks what I'm craving in this varietal.
