The light glints off an oil slick. The palate and nose are ripe red cherries. The acid is fresh and prevalent. This is wine you chase cold years in Napa Valley.

69% Cab 31% Cab Franc. Great nose. Floral and spice. Palate incredible. Great mouthfeel, chewy tannins and well balanced. Cherry, blackberry, espresso, chocolate, and baking spices. I only had one bottle. Wish I’d have kept for at least 5 more years.

Delia Viader is making wonderful Bordeaux style wines up on Howell Mountain (which is quickly becoming my favorite region...Dunn, ADAMVS, Arkenstone, Outpost...what's not to love?). She is a great inspiration to us all, and as you taste her wines, you can taste the brilliant acidity, firm tanins and the fruit is a early season strawberry and cassis.
