Star bright yellow gold. Inviting, Sauternes-esque nose and voluptuous, medium full palate of honeyed yellow apple, white peach, and honeysuckle with a hint of botrytis(?) mid palate. All of that wraps up a sturdy backbone of medium acidity and leads into a moderate bright finish. Campania gave us Aglianico (Taurasi), Greco, and Fiano to great acclaim. The Vernice range is introducing us to lesssrr known varieties that if this is any indication, deserve just as much of our attention. A wonderfully complex white that's as great as a sipper as it is accompanying a meal. White pizza is a natural, but try it with swordfish or roasted roots. Drink now through 2025.
