Just a few pics of the wines from last night’s monthly 4th Friday. Too many bottles to try!
This was decanted about an hour by the time I got to it. Still needed another 2+hrs. Mark mentioned a bordeaux like nose to this and I totally agree. Deep purple in the glass. Dusty gravel, violets, dark cocoa and underripe blackberries. The entry and middle palate of this were big, but the finish beefed up even more with chewy tannins and big structure. Graphite, baking spices, currant, roasted plum, and sweet pipe tobacco. Very good, but hold for even better days ahead! Thanks @joe leatherwood .
