Bought this wine in the Finger Lakes region while vacationing with our friends Jackie and Brandon and Victor! It amazing that a merlot grape can grow so well in the Finger Lakes Region! I have yet to find a good Merlot in Pennsylvania. This one is very good. At first taste it is a little grape your opens up quickly. It has subtle oak flavors with the distinct taste of the Merlot grape. Very good wine for upstate New York. Extremely smooth and drinkable. Yum! The winery is beautiful too! Great views of the lake .

What we had was the 2011 Merlot but it did not come up here. Very smooth. I bought after tasting it at the winery and it was even better after decanting.
