This is the 2017 Venge Brown Ranch Chardonnay still in tank. Should go into bottle this week.
The nose reveals; lemon, lime, green apple, notes of green vegetables, buttered popcorn, cream, vanilla, whiff of caramel, light butterscotch, honeysuckle, fruit blossoms, yellow flowers and lilies.
Beautiful mouthfeel. Creamy, thick, big and round, white spice, green apple, lime, an array of mixed tropicals, butter, cream, banana, melon, a slight vegetal characteristic, nice chalkiness, yellow flowers. Beautiful round acidity, thick, well, polished rich finish. Not your typical Napa/Sonoma Chardonnay and I really enjoyed it.
