Wow! Deep, near blackish purple in the glass. Nose and medium-bodied palate of blackberry, black cherry, and roasted anise.. Medium tannins. Medium plus acidity. medium long dark finish. A Toscana Sangiovese from a renowned Brunello producer, this deep and rich wine portends the weightier wines to come (albeit from different vineyards). Enjoy with pizza and lighter Tuscan fare and contemplate what’s coming 5-6 years on. Drink by 2021; when the better Rossos start arriving.

Apr 16th, 2020Not my favorite. Dry and tannins. A hint of fruit maybe cherry. Not very full, complex flavor but very intense in what it does offer

May 7th, 2020Strawberry hints with dry finish. Balanced. I'd drink again. It's good but not memorable as a wine. It DOES remind me of my time in Tuscany, like a really good table wine.
