I figured since the blanc de blanc was drinking so well that I would try the rose too. It remains the darkest sparkling rose i’ve ever seen, like a Tavel in color. It’s really rich with the red fruit, but much more integrated than a year ago. Also has a creaminess that helps keep the acid in check. A really interesting sparkler that will continue to improve as the fruit comes into balance with everything else.

Oct 21st, 2018Took a full 2hrs to open up and show fruit. Still nuanced and not your typical CA sparkler. These could really use several years to flesh out. If you open now pop it a couple hours early and throw it in the fridge.

May 22nd, 2017Very distinctive. Not sure how to describe this but it tasted more like a rich rose with effervescence than a sparkling rose. Slight funkiness, bright fruit, good acidity. An intriguing wine.

Nov 5th, 2016Wow, slightly yeasty and very dry with balanced acidity and a bit of mineral or slate. Bubbles dissipated after about 60 minutes. Salmon with a little cloudiness (not cloudiness that implies tainting). The best American sparkling rose I've had
