Turtle Rock
G2 Vineyard Red Blend
Ripe and heavily influenced by its barrel upbringing. I think this has potential but it just needs time to sort itself out

Mar 1st, 2020All star stuff. This Rh么ne style wine shows restraint. Impeccably balaned and focused not blousy at all. It is dedicated to purity. So nice!

Nov 13th, 2019Some serious Juice from Paso,
Definitely not an Austin Hope fruit bomb 馃挘 thankfully. Buy it if you can find it. Give it 3-4 hours of air. This reminds me of Stanleys Syrah at TOP Winery
Jeb 馃挴 review as follows
Based on 92% Syrah, 6% Mourv猫dre, and 2% Grenache that was brought up in 90% new oak, it offers an incredible, meaty, smoky, deep, and concentrated style as well pure black fruits, violets, and peppery aromas and flavors. With ultra-fine tannins, full-bodied richness, and that rare mix of power and elegance, Central Coast Syrah (or red wine, for that matter) doesn鈥檛 get any better. Give bottles 2-3 years, count yourself lucky, and enjoy over the following 10-12+ years.

Surprising balance given the ripeness and barrel influence. Solid but missing some varietal character.

May 21st, 2021Predominantly Syrah (91%) with some grenache and matar贸. Stunningly beautiful wine. Voluptuous in the mouth. Lush red and black fruit. Silky smooth, mellow tannins. If you enjoy Rhone blends, you will enjoy this.
$67.72 from Turtle Rock tasting room.
