Jumps up with a nose of violet, blackberries, and light baking spice. Focused mouth feel with assertive acidity. Finish is abbreviated. All in all pretty impressive considering these grapes are grown on cape cod! #mawine #cabfranc

Decent Cab Franc from the only vineyards in Cape Cod MA. My favorite from their lineup.

MARKED improvement in only a couple of vintages. Phenolic ripeness there or thereabouts, good fruit, nice green edge. You wouldn't be laughed out of the room for comparing this to bankside Chinon. It's really very good. Better to come I suspect too!

Truro 2014 Cabernet Franc (SRP $17.99): What a pleasant [estate-grown] surprise from Massachusetts. It’s lean, fruit-forward and easy-drinking with well-balanced, yet round acids supporting black raspberry and high-toned red berry fruit aromas and flavors. A dusting of black pepper and baking spice caps off this delightful wine.

Trying out the local wine of Truro! Not quite your typical Cab Franc. But we tried.
