Reminds me of Halloween with the forward scent of ripe plum licorice and baking spice. Strangely lingers with a hint of sauteed mushrooms. Bold and full-bodied, this heavy drinker weighs in at 15% abv. A generous dose of licorice and foresty cherries and plums enchant the palate. Take this big boy in slowly.

1 person found it helpfulMar 31st, 2018Red berries, currants, blackberries, cinnamon, pepper, dark spice on the finish. The wine is smooth and has a lot going on with it. While it doesn't all tie in tidily, it's interesting to drink and sort of charming in its own way. Drank while watching A Good Year, which I find ironic because this movie is about a French winery. We're a little off theme...

Jul 18th, 2020Cherry, plum, cinnamon and spice. Silky tannins, a bit of acidity and really easy to drink right out of the bottle. This is a great wine to enjoy in the fall while pumpkin bread baking is in the oven. Buy some
