La Storia Estate Bottled Alexander Valley Zinfandel

Pretty good. Got me drunk.

A rich and weighty Alexander Valley Zin for the 4th of July. Black raspberry and chocolate nose. Full and peppery in the mouth. Not a lot of complexity but lots of flavor.

Zinfandel. Amazing wine. Very affordable wine that tastes like a high end Zin. Great pick

Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.

Sweet nose of cherry pie, strawberries, raspberries, oak, figs, vanilla, licorice, cloves, earth, leather, spices, peppercorn, mint, eucalyptus, smoke, light alcohol and balsamic vinegar.

Medium plus in body and jammy, with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, coffee, chocolates, tobacco, spices, leather, pencil lead, light vegetables and peppercorn.

Long finish with firm, round tannins, black pepper and spices.

A Great Zinfandel from Alexander Valley, with a great mouthfeel, nice balance and intriguing complexity.

Good right now, and will benefit from additional bottle aging, in the next few years, but I'm not sure about long term aging here. Enjoy it while fresh.

A Good sipping wine, that pairs well with food too. I paired it with a mushroom/chicken flatbread.

Aged in 25% new European oak barrels for 13 months.

14.9% alcohol by volume.

Rich velvety delicious

Excellent body, fruit forward and smooth.

From a Trentadue tasting. La Storia is there is estate label and the Petite Sirah is ridiculously good!

2011 Trentadue Zinfandel "La Storia" Alexander Valley. Gorgeous, sweet, pure blackberry fruit. Great balance. Not complex but very satisfying and great with Polpetonne alla Toscana.

Excellent Zinfandel! Smokey, bold and rich. An absolute repeat for my wife and I.
