My first Cote du Puy, from the Chapoutier family. Beautiful gamay, strawberry plays the first violin. Well done!

Mar 13th, 2021Trenel Beaujolais Villages 2015: Dry. Medium-acidity. Medium-finish. An expressive nose of summer red fruits with muted & young flavors of sour cherry, raspberry, pomegranate & black currant. Additionally, there was a noticeable bitter, chalky finish however it did soften up (a bit!) by the end of the meal. All in all, a simple, drinkable however below-average Beaujolais wine. Cheers🍷

Jan 19th, 2021Maybe we were unlucky with the bottle, but it was slightly vinegary and just a little fizzy.
