Strong nose of black currants, plums, bell pepper, cherries, oak, vanilla, barnyard, vegetables, spices and black pepper.
Medium bodied with a little effervescent, medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, strawberries, currants, vanilla, wood, spices, green herbs, vegetables, green pepper, tobacco leaf and black pepper.
Medium finish with spices and no tannins.
This a simple Tempranillo from Rioja but not a typical one at all. Not completely balanced, but easy drinking. Good to sip on, but better with food.
Needs 30 minutes to open up and better when chilled (to mask the impurities).
I paired it with heavy appetizers.

Had a cold... Smelled excellent. Very smooth in mouth, then sharp aftertaste.
