(15% alcohol; the wine's Malbec component comes from a 1998 planting in Gualtallary, the Cabernet Franc from Altamira): Saturated ruby. Knockout vibrant nose combines dark berries, licorice and violet; already conveying a strong impression of personality. Densely packed and intense but quite fine-grained, offering terrific delineation to its flavors of crushed black fruits and violet. This very backward wine finishes with serious but suave tannins, terrific length and excellent energy and cut. I'd like to revisit this in six or seven years, at which time it may merit an even higher score. (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, July 2018)

Big day of wine! Grand Reserve tasting at Total followed by steak night.

Really fun earthy wine. This wine has soil driven aromas all over the nose with ripe red fruits helping balance the back end. Really nice with steak.

지난번 투뿔등심에서 번개로 먹었을 때보다 조금 아쉬운 느낌. 지난번보다 온도가 높아서 그런듯.
색은 몬테스 퍼플 엔젤보다 진하고 와인의 leg는 더 길다고 강사님이하셨는데. 실제 더 빨리 떨어지는 느낌이였음.

첫 아로마는 상당히 부드러운 느낌. 말벡의 향. 마치 멜롯과 비슷한... 느낌. 상당히 이스티하다고해야하나.

아 이거 맛있겠다...

입에 머금으면 블략커런트. 삼나무의 노트에 계피 정향의 약간 달콤한 한약재의 느낌. 시간이 지날 수롣 조금 더 달아지는 느낌이 난다.
더 부드러워지면서 바닐라의 느낌도 나며. 약간의 스파이시한 후추 스파이시 느낌정도.

여운은 그리 길지는 않았다.
