Dark blue and black fruits, bit of sweet tobacco on the nose, kind of a salted plum thing going on, bitter chocolate finish, moderate tannins with less acid than I anticipated. Mouth-filling upon entry but more mid palate would be nice. Overall it’s nice at this price point and I’d buy again. Varietally district, although this producer has the “Terroir” series that is a step up in quality that showcases more mid-palate weight and a longer finish with a bit more complexity
