Tranche Cellars
Slice of Pape Columbia Valley Red Blend
Very well integrated GSM. I have been sitting on it for years, and figured it was probably at its peak, but I think it has a few more years in it at least. Roses, strawberries, black cherries, pepper and wet concrete on the nose. On the palette the wine is silky, and still dense with red stone fruit flavors, hints of tobacco and black pepper. Fantastic wine, drink now - 2022.

Mar 2nd, 2020One the nose, perfumed purple florals, lilac, blue fruit blend, blackberries, black plum, black raspberries, hint of pepper, whiff of tobacco, dry herbs & dark soils. The body is leaner but the tannins are M-M+. The palate has lots of; blue fruits, black berry, black plum, black raspberries, pepper, tarry notes, black licorice, dry herbs, figs, tobacco, soft leather, round, big, acidity and leaner nice perfumed finish. Photos of; their tasting bar, shiny new stainless tanks and their driveway entrance sign.

Sep 27th, 2015Interesting gsm blend from the Columbia valley. Lots of fruit (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry), flowers, and herbs on the nose. The taste is pretty well balanced. Good acidity and the tannins are larger than I expected. More herbs, earthy notes, and spices. My only complaint is it is a bit too much alcohol on the finish, super hot.

Oct 13th, 2017Very powerful dark fruits of blueberry, blackberry and fig. Viscous and smooth with a nice short spice finish.
