On the nose; honeysuckle, melon, citrus, peach, flint, stone fruits & jasmine. On the palate; honeysuckle, melon, citrus, peach, nectarines, soft, powdery chalky minerals and yellow lilies, jasmine, big round acidity and fresh, oily, lightly waxy finish. Nice wine on a warm day. Photos of; the winery night & day, barrel room and barrel fire on property. Now that's barrel toasting!

Opens with perfumed aromas of white peach and ripe cantaloupe, pineapple and honeysuckle. Tranche's website notes that 2011 is the first vintage where Marsanne is incorporated into this Rousanne/Viognier blend. I'm not surprised by this, Marsanne was virtually impossible to find in Washington state five years ago. Delightful waxy, honeycomb character that lends depth and balance to brighter, minerally notes. Finishes with nutmeg and spiced pear. Nicely balanced, considering it's 14.2% ABV.

A consistent winner. Always a nice blend of white Rhône varietals.

My friend brought this aged wine for my birthday. It was decanted and good. Definitely not sweet, if anything maybe a bit drier than I'd prefer. Good complexity. It went down nice.

Loving the addition of Picpoul to this vintage! Brighter acidity and citrus notes with a hint of spice. My love affair with this producer continues . . .
