Tightly wound, but opens up after an hour in bottle. Smoky bing cherry fruit, bright acidity, gravel on the finish. Dry tannins. Frankly, I can't think of a better $15 cabernet.

An amazing value, this $15 wine tastes like a $30 Napa Cab, with thick chewy tannins, dark chocolate and cherries, and a lingering coffee finish. Small production so get it while you can!

Not bad, but only a shadow of what Spring Mountain designated can should be...

Very easy drinking, softer tannins for a cab. Berry notes, not a super long finish but enough to have me reaching for another sip.

Raspberry, baking spice, licorice, eucalyptus. Not as weighty as some of the other Platinum Reserves but still terrific. TJs been on a roll lately.

Smooth, great finish. Comparable to a good $20 dollar bottle easily.

Acidic and tannins in full effect. For the price, I plan to get another bottle and store for a bit and give it another go later on.
