Very impressive Pauillac (pronounced pojak) for $20. The finish is slightly thin at the end of the meal, but highly enjoyable overall. Deep fruits, medium tanics, touch of leather aromas. Has a nice complexity to it. Good with filet. I’m a big fan of Baron de Taste Margeaux from TJ’s at $14.99, and was excited to try the TJ’s Diamond Reserve Pauillac. As long as the Margeaux is available, that’ll be my first choice. Still waiting recommend overall.

Jul 22nd, 2023Color of saturated purple, thick and oily, with nice legs. Nose of dark fruits, aldehyde, currants, cocoa, strength of alcohol, and a bit strawberry. Nose is above average. Taste follows the nose with addition of cinnamon, a bit sweetness, marginal tannins, and some more minty grassy note. Taste is mellow yet good flavors. Aftertaste shows just a bit of oak, with a bit more minty, warm more, medium. Above average.
