Case alert. This is best private label TJ wine I’ve ever had. Big, lots of tannin and fruit (blue and blackberry notes) with a small hint of cherry pipe tobacco on back palette. Find it and buy as much as you can.

Many of the reviews are for the Stag’s Leap District 2020 that was released last year. This one from Oakville) only the 3rd TJs Diamond Reserve ever) drank nearly as well. Great balance of fruit and dry, prominent but not overpowering tannins. Let it breathe/aerate for an hour+. Must be from a large winery as there was much more Diamond available this year than in the past.

Easily the best Trader Joe’s reserve I’ve had. Robust and pleasantly rounded mouthfeel, almost velvety. So glad I was able to procure another bottle!

Cherry, raspberry, dark fruit, smooth, vanilla. Very bold and higher acidity wine but really flavorful. Has a very strong, bold, and old dusty wood cabinet smell.

A new level of TJ wines that just came out. We cracked this open at dinner to test it. This. Is. Amazing. Just a massive cab, with lots of complexity and depth. A loamy finish and generous tannins. Should hold up well. I have no doubt in a blind cab tasting this would finish near the top. It’s that good.
