It's a full-bodied Napa Cab, for sure. Lots of great fruit here. Blackberries lead the way followed by cherries and plums. There's some really good oak and cedar flavors here too. Very nice firm tannins and a decently long, fruity finish.

Celebrating my 1100th review on Delectable, with an enjoyable Napa Cabernet.

Beautiful ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Great fruity nose of black currants, cherries, blackberries, blueberries, plums, wood, licorice, spices, dark chocolate, black pepper and alcohol.

Full bodied and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, licorice, sage, oak, light vanilla, bitter vegetables, tobacco, peppercorn, espresso and chocolates.

Long finish with round tannins and spices.

This Napa Cabernet from Oakville, is well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food, like BBQ beef. It has a nice complexity, but still too many vegetable notes for my taste for now. Will be better in a couple of years time. Needs 90 minutes in a decanter to open up.

14.2% alcohol by volume.

Dark color, a bit chalky, nice Cab to have with a meal but it left me wanting a bit more...
