63% grenache, 20% shiraz, and 17% mataro. Powerful nose of raspberry jam and potpourri on the nose, with the potpourri clarifying into clove and vanilla as the wine unfolds. Opulent and fruity in the mouth. This is a riper and oakier style than I prefer, but an impressive offering for what it aims. Good now through 2020.

Aug 29th, 2015@Torbreck my fav Rhone style blend from Barossa. This 2009 was incredible for pairing with Beef tenderloin and grilled veg. Too good to wait for roast to finish :-)

Dec 29th, 201460% Grenache 20% Shiraz 20% Mataro. 24 months in old French oak. Raspberry jam on the nose. Very full and rich with a little spice and firm tannins on the long finish. Great texture, really fills the mouth.

Sep 1st, 2014Exceptional red wine! 2009 was a good vintage for this Barossa Red! Drinking beautifully now & will cellar very well for the next 20 years or so - but drink one soon - you will love it!
