Would like a touch of less new oak, but still overall pretty solid

Fruit forward and not at all peppery. Really enjoyable Syrah.

Deep inky purple in the glass. Aromas of blueberry, cured meat, and black pepper with hints cedar and green olive. Ripe dark berries and black licorice on the palate with medium tannins, medium + acidity, and peppery finish. 14.2% alcohol. Nicely balanced cool climate New World expression. Made in solar powered SIP certified winery from blend of 78% Syrah, 15% Grenache, 4% Petit Sirah, and 2% Viognier. $32.

Earthy with a little bit of spice and smoked meat. Nice house wine.

Amazing value. Not very oaky. Refreshing citrus notes. Paired perfectly with a spicy, Cajun influenced, pork loin chop in a caper pan sauce. This could become an everyday Chardonnay at our house.

I prefer Syrah blended with other varieties. This single variety was a bit disjointed. The fruit was consistent and the overall flavor wasn't bad; I just think there are much better wines out there at this price point. Cheers!
