Blanc de Blanc
Top Notes For
Casey @ Travelling Corkscrew

Lunch at Land & Sea Cafe in Marsden Point called for fish’n’chips and bubbles! Tohu Rewa is a Kiwi bubbles made in Marlborough (top of South Island) and made by the traditional method (i.e. the same as French Champagne). It’s also a ‘Blanc de blanc’ which means it’s made of 100% Chardonnay. This is the 2014 vintage.

It was the perfect accompaniment to my fish n chips with its bright acidity and refreshing quality. It’s a straw colour on the eye with a hint of gold. Notes of citrus, lychee, nuts and peach come through on the nose. While in the mouth it’s smooth, refreshing and elegant 👌

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine
