Really opens up after a few hours, even the next day. On the nose a whiff of gunpowder and crushed rose petals. On the palate it's thick, slightly spicy, with just the right out of tannin and acidity. The finish is laced with cocoa and oak staves.

Has everyone missed the licorice? Limestone sure but the thick candy is what I taste. Smooth yes but powerful fruit on the nose and on the palate. I'm tasting Anise big time. Love this wine!
