VA for days. Interesting wine. Lacks some balance and is a little too volatile for my tastes.

Oct 5th, 2022A blend of Xinomavro, Krassato and Stavroto grown on the slopes of Mount Olympus. Nectar of the gods?
Fresh, aromatic, enticing nose full of red fruit, dried herbs, flowers, with some baked clay notes and a peppery note towards the finish. Reminds me a bit of COS Cerasuolo from Sicily, but more aromatic.
On the palate this is surprisingly light - yet with loads of character! Nicely polished tannins, juicy acidity, great tension. The fruit slowly mellowing, but there’s depth here, a mineral core and a flow that is just amazing.
At ~20€ this is just unbelievable & unbeatable value. Delicious!!

Impressed. Grows on you with every sip. Rustic winemaking style for Xinomavro, yet leading to a grandiose outcome.

The indigenous grapes variaties
of Xinomavro, Krassato and Stavroto are grown on the slopes of Mount Olympus on a schist bedrock. They express
perfectly the unique terroir of
the Appellation Rapsani.
Redish color, perfumed, strong tanins. Long aftertaste.
