Dark ruby violet in color with dark cherry, leather, and sage on the nose. Juicy with nice fruit and tannins on the palate and only 12.9% alcohol. Made from a blend of 60% Dolcetto and 20% Lagrein from the Willamette Valley and 20% Sangiovese from Wahluke Slope, Washington made by McMinnville native Remy Drabkin who specializes in Italian varietals.

One of the best blends (59% barbera 41% sangiovese) under $20 i have ever found in the PNW. Intense cherry from the barbera meets the earthier sangio right in the middle for a very happy marriage. Punches me right in the hangy ball as my friend KJM would say :)

Perhaps it is the vintage, but this was hard for me to drink. Harsh flavor, yet sweet. Perhaps it should be consumed sooner than four years.

A good wine, but a bit too sweet for me. It's 25% barbera (from Washington) and 75% dolcetto (from Oregon).
