I don’t normally buy Zinfandel but the girl at the store said this was “fantastic” so I bought it. I still won’t change my mind about this grape but this one was pretty good. Barnyard on the nose, red fruit on the palate. Paired pretty good with football and a good friend!

Larry Holmes’ left jab, just as he was overtaking Ali. Big, blowsy, classic Zin that manages to balance huge ripeness and extract against a core of real freshness and tension. Adept, subtle use of American oak shows this wine to be the ageworthy classic it is.
