Bold crimson in the glass with a wide rim and cherry undertones. GSM wines without the G do still work. Big nose of black and red fruits complimented by cracked black pepper and mint. Medium bodied with medium acidity, this baby really opens up after air. The oak is present and noticeable without ever becoming the star of the show or wearing out its welcome. Black cherries and chocolate are dominant on the palate, along with subtle vanilla and smoke. This is a great example of a wine that’s not terribly exciting but very harmonious.
