The Walls VineyardsBeautiful wine here. The nose demonstrates concentrated bleeding blueberry fruit accompanied by black olive brine, pencil lead, potpourri, cracked black peppercorns, and crushed rock. There’s a slight smokiness and meatiness underneath those fresh notes. The palate is centralized and the tannins are so chewy you end up eating this. Balanced acidity leads the finish into sophistication. Super delicious and a great tribute to Hermitage Northern Rhône Syrahs.

May 2nd, 2020@Delectable Wine - This is Syrah, not a red blend. This is their Red Mountain bottling, and delivers the dark fruit & firm tannins one expects from Red Mountain wines. There is a smoky character to this and it shows both flavor and textural complexity as it opens. Beautiful wine.

Dec 4th, 2019Still opaque and dark-as-night, this big Syrah (15% abv) shows savory dark fruits, a touch of earth, a bit of tobacco and a very nice finish. Still has plenty of life left, but drinking well now with a brief decant.

Nov 21st, 2019Syrah from Red Mountain, hard to distinguish when your focusing on the classics. Easy to distinguish when you're surrounded by the BDS wines of Red Mountain.
