First Anne Arundel County wine, with merlot out front driving, cab franc running the wheels and a bit of petit Verdot and cab sav taking up the rear. Medium bodied, with pale maroon hues, with hints of red leather towards the edges. The nose is pungent, with notes of tire rubber, brandy, dark fruits and maybe some coca, with some velvety, silky, slightly mall-lactic like hints. Slightly green, vegetal notes on the palate alongside the dark fruits prominent, with grippy tannins and more coca and maybe a little slate, but a short finish that ends to quick.

57% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, 10% Petit Verdot. This is local winery near me that makes some nice wines. My first time trying this merlot dominated blend and was drinking nicely on pop and pour. Delectable this is the South Slope
