BIG and bold! Lots of black fruit, baking spice, cedar, and vanilla. Definitely needs some time to breathe to calm down, but even after being open for about 2 hours it has a finish for days. Paired beautifully with homemade chicken parm. I'd say this 2009 has a long life ahead of it.
