Great Aglianico del Vulture, its rustic side is balanced by the clarity from its traditional upbringing. No new oak, no over extraction, doesn’t sacrifice quality. Roasted black cherry and plum fruit, stewed boysenberry, beef blood, game, crushed black rocks, smoke. Can definitely get the high-elevation, volcanic imprint in this wine. Tannins are young, tight, but fine enough for early consumption.

Loved it - light on tannins, a touch of volcanic ash/soil. Earthy, not overwhelming.
