I’m not an art critic - but I’m tempted to give this wine some sort of label awards. The whimsy of the bottle aside, I’m not all too well versed in the Viogniers of Australia. This one maintains so much of its varietal character - dried honeycomb, white blossoms, apple skin - yet finds an entirely different rhythm. Restrained on the nose, yet boisterous on the palate, it eventually recedes into a textural experience - broad and tactile in its pollenous, chamomile flavors.
