Plungerhead Old Vine Lodi Zinfandel

Dark purple color and not clear. Big legs. Distant nose of plum and leather with some cinnamon and minerals. Lovely, smooth palate with balanced tannin and a slightly bitter finish with leather on the lips. Very drinkable.

Nose of driv8ng by an oil refinery with fermented raspberries. Explosive astringent berry bomb. Far better than the one-dimensional petite sirah that they produce.

Different - almost effervescent..,

2015 vintage too sweet, too raisin-y and flabby. Really not for me.

A nice sub-$20 Zin. Strong fruit bouquet with more balance on the pallet. Dark berry balanced with a little oak and smoke. Slightly glycerol and toasted vanilla finish. More complex than its price with dried and dark fruit and a bold feel and alcohol punch.

Tony likes it quite a bit, Edita does not

Easy to drink. Surprised it was a zinfandel.

I don't know if it's the aerator but holy yum. Little jammy but a solid spice mixed in there.

Jam with tobacco. Delicious

Very smooth drinking, cherry on the nose. I thought this was a fantastic wine.
