The Ojai Vineyard
Solomon Hills Vineyard Pinot Noir
This is fantastic. It’s right where it needs to be. Nose of mulled raspberries, mushroom, wet soil, hay, and white pepper. Lush tannins mostly faded and a hit of acidity that’s not grippy at all. The nose transfers through to the palate with the fruit really shining. There’s some umami and more white pepper. I wish I had more. Drink up.

Jan 21st, 2021Tart cherries, toasted oak, vanilla. Not the best Pinot I’ve had (alcohol is a little strong), but it’s an interesting one.
