I know what my two followers might think based on the name of this wine ;) however this is a pleasant wine. Better than the pro ratings, but I'm an amateur who knows nothing about wine. I like the smoothness and flavors. My tongue says more, please!!

Plenty of tobacco notes, needs beef stew.

Very good integration. Black currants, plums, and a subtle nuance of blueberries. Strong tannic structure, and generous American oak.

Really good, but I think I can find better at 17 bones. $17 / 89pts

Ruby red; blueberry, spearmint aromas. Good acidity but tastes like blueberry flan, finishes like cola. (sample)

Had most of the complexity I’ve come to find in this varietal: jammy dark fruit, coffee, vanilla, spice, forest floor, some herbaceous & some pepper but lacking some density for me along with some astringency that was off-putting. Fine grained tannins made it rather supple.

Going through some older bottles of wine. Drank this 5/4/18 with friends. Very smooth.
