Odd. Lingering somewhat acid finish. Lighter body than normal Shiraz. Rather have a straight Shiraz.

Wants to please me but don't know how. Showy, a bit flawed, sweet-side pop wine. Skip it.

For mother's day, Here is a very nice and unique Blend, out of Australia.

Dark purple in color with a purplish rim.

Fruity on the nose with blackberries, cooked plums, blueberries, cherries, sweet strawberries, licorice, vanilla, wildflowers, oak, metals and black pepper.

Full-bodied and smooth, but not bold, with medium plus acidity and great-looking legs.

Fruity on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, cherries, plums, licorice, vanilla, coke, coffee, dark chocolates, peppercorn and spices.

Long finish with fine, green tannins, spices and black pepper.

This Shiraz needs 2 hours to open up, but after that, it's wonderful.
The Viognier, gives it a nice and interesting acidity and wonderful nose. It is smooth with a great mouthfeel, even though it is still young. Not one to age, but rather better when young.

A blend of 96% Shiraz and 4% Viognier.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

Nice full-bodied red/white blend (4% white). Goes great with a nice sharp cheddar.

14.5%. Full-bodied, dry, complex. Would be good paired with a traditional cooked steak!
