A little backstory: An unnamed high end Sonoma producer sells inventory he can’t move at a deep discount. The buyer signs an NDA and can’t disclose provenience, but sells the wine at a fraction of the original price. I have no idea who that producer is, but I paid $18 for this bottle. A very knowledgeable person told me under the original label this would be more like $70.
Definitely a “guilty pleasure” wine. A relic from a bygone era. Big, obvious, and unctuous. Smells like Werther’s candy and pineapple. It’s buttery, oaky, and way out of balance, but in the best possible way. Do I have to turn in my wine geek card now?

Elegant, balanced Chardonnay with moderate acid. The palate tastes of crisp apple, blood orange, vanilla, and well integrated oak throughout. The finish is long and really accents the vanilla with a hint of caramel (think cow's tail meets creamcicle).
