'Percecco' Toscana Petit Verdot
100% Petit Verdot. Dark nose of ripe blackberry and violets. Full-bodied palate echoes the nose. Firm fine tannins and medium acidity. Quite the surprise from Tuscany where the “Supers” are often blends. Very approachable for this variety. A wonderful compliment to beef dishes and hard cheeses. Drink now through 2027.

This is a very nice Petit Verdot from Italy. Showing red and black fruits, wood, light vegetables, tobacco leaf, spices, chocolates, wild flowers, peppercorn and dark coffee.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Short finish with firm tannins and tangy pomegranates.
This 7 year old, needs an hour to open up properly and show some tannins. After 3 hours of airtime, the tannins become very grippy.
This 100% Petit Verdot is a good food wine. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
87 Points.
$35.

Wine was spectacular — AFTER breathing overnight. Difference was profound, so buy again, but open in the morning or the night before.

Jun 18th, 2018This fruit forward wine is delicious. The bright nip at the end is enticing. Creamy pasta is mandatory.

Feb 16th, 2018Italian 100% petite verdot!
This is great! Bright acidity. Plum, currants, and pomengranite.
Admittedly I will say this is not for everyone since it is higher in acidity than other wines.
Definitely better with food.

Very nice Petit Verdot wine. Bold dark fruit flavor and a nice dry finish. I sampled it before dinner and it tasted quite acidic but after sitting a little these mellowed out a bit and it paired nicely with a spicy chicken dish. Will definitely buy this again.

Jun 17th, 2017It's rare to see Petit Verdot as a varietal on its own. However, when you see one, it rarely disappoints. This one is no exception. Full bodied with a lot of spice, oak, and ripe fruits, especially plum and fig. Firm tannins with good amount of acidity suggest this wine will age really well.
