Drank 11/11/19. Paired with sausage and cheese tortellini.

Nose of black cherry, earth, vanilla, and cocoa. Black cherry liquer, cocoa, and a touch of wood on the palate. Medium + tannins. Medium body, medium + finish.

A vital, ruby-red colour with deep core. An intense, powerful aroma with berry fruit (plums and cherries), Italian herbs, sweet oak and a spicy cocoa. A wide, powerful and soft taste with cherries, plums, blackberries and Italian condiments. A friendly style with an excellent balance.

Needs time to open and perhaps on the few hour side of things but can see potential here

Heavy on the nose and Rich in flavor. You will not be disappointed. Check out the weight of the bottle.

Borderline overbearing plum/toast qualities, maybe a victim of over ripening

Full bodied, great flavours. Excellent ripasso expression with black berries, raisin and capsicum.

This is better than the 2017 vintage. It really smooths out beautifully the warmer it gets.

Very balanced

Intense aroma of plum, blackberry, cherry cola, fresh herbs, sprinkled with coffee, cedar, and slightest hint of green pepper. The palate is savory, textured, and vibrant, and has the right balance of concentration and freshness of the raisinated juice. Elegant silky twinning.
This Ripasso far exceeds my expectation. Remarkable complexity of nose and depth of flavor for a $15 bottle.
